Or maybe you are looking for a complete refresh; we have a comprehesive Showroom - open by Appointment - where we can talk through the different options of what you are looking for . We work very closely with two local branding Partners and can take care of any Embroidery / Heat Pressing needs as a part of our service.

Our Story
"In my 25 plus years in the Electrical Industry I have been through many pairs of overalls. I’m not satisfied that I have ever found exactly what I want from work clothing in terms of quality and value; I finally decided it was time to create Daneunder Workwear." Karl Maltesen
Born and bred in Denmark, Karl met his Kiwi wife Julie in Australia some 20 years ago and came to settle in New Zealand in 2001. Always ambitious, it wasn't long before Karl started his own business as an Electrician in 2003 before becoming an Electrical Inspector and establishing a Metering and Inspection Company in Marlborough.
Accustomed to using quality products in Denmark, Karl felt there was a market for a range of quality, hard-wearing workwear here in New Zealand that better catered to the hard-working Kiwis tough working environment.
Daneunder Workwear was essentially born out of the ambitions of a “Dane living Down Under” who wanted to build a strong brand on a foundation of blended Kiwi and Danish values – Resilience, Dependability, Comfort and Quality.
Our workwear has been tested and certified to meet both New Zealand's certification requirements for Night and Day High Visibility Safety Garments (AS/NZS 4602.1:2001 & AS/NZS 1906.4:2010), the relevant European Norms (EN) as well as NFPA 70E, Standard for ARC Flash Protection. They are tough, durable, stylish and comfortable.
With the opening of our Showroom in Renwick, Marlborough we now stock many other quality Brands along side our own and enjoy working closely with our Business Customers to to offer a One Stop Shop with a focus on personalised friendly service.
Our Logo
Coming up with a logo to reflect our personal vision proved very difficult.
We spent many hours drawing and brainstorming until we finally decided to ask a professional!
We found Alex Lloyd of Lloyd Creative through a search engine and emailed him with a brief as well as some embarrassingly primitive sketches of our own. When Alex came back with his suggestion (which I must add, was nothing like the sketches he received), we were blown away at how easily he had captured the heart of who we are.
A viking helmet seemed an obvious symbol to represent the Dane; the addition of the silver ferns for Horns was the perfect way to illustrate the solid union in business - and in life - of a Dane living "downunder" with his Kiwi wife.
